A Heart of Surrender
December 18, 2024 by Amy Byrd
How do we trust God with certainty when our situation seems so uncertain?
My friend, if this is a question you have found yourself wrestling with, I want you to know you don’t have to walk through this alone.
Surrender.
It’s the image of a little Girl fearlessly leaping from the edge of a bed fully confident her father will catch her.
This is the posture God desires from us— A heart that trust him completely. A heart that says, “All I have, all I own, all I dream of, all I fear, all I love— Every part of me belongs to you, Jesus. I trust you with full and absolute surrender.”
I want to choose a life lived marked by surrender. We can take the leap into his arms, ready and willing to catch us. Because a life surrendered to Jesus is a life that experiences His presence, His provision, His promises, and the soul, deep abundance only He can provide.
I don’t know what your life holds right now. But I do know the one who’s holding you.
Keep trusting him. Keep walking with him. He’s got you. Here is some soul settling truth for your heart:
“God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though it’s water roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.“ Psalm 46: 1-3
