Singing Quakers to presents Show People, a night of Broadway, pop and Disney at Symphony of Spring

The Friends University Singing Quakers will present the Symphony of Spring concert featuring the theme Show People April 23-25. The show has been a Wichita favorite for more than 50 years.
Disney favorites, pop standards and Broadway tunes from around the world will feature shows ranging from Les Mis, Bye Bye Birdie, and Curtains to Frozen, The Wiz, and much more. Moving ballads, up-tempo dance numbers, orchestra and a full chorus make this a hit for the whole family.
The performances will run Friday and Saturday, April 23-24, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 25, at 2 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.
Considering the hardships the pandemic has brought the community, all performances for the season are free of charge. Livestream and in-person tickets still need to be reserved.

Friends University Concert Choir Coffeehouse

Carrying on the tradition, Friends University Concert Choir members will share their talent Sunday, April 25, at 7 p.m.. The show, which like many events was canceled last year, is a tradition beloved by the community.
We are so excited to put on this fun event once again. It's a highlight of the year for our choir and always gets their creative juices flowing, said Concert Choir director, Rolaine Hetherington.
An entertaining compilation of talents will be showcased. Past shows have included singing, dancing, juggling and even puppets.
The concert is free and no tickets are required. Coffee and baked goods will be available for purchase and social distancing measures will be in place.
The performance will take place in Casado Campus Center Gymnasium on the Friends University campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan.
