Join us in Oklahoma City from September 22-24, 2022 for a very special banjo celebration hosted by the American Banjo Museum!
Alan Munde, Randy Morris, Don Vappie, The Banjo Kings and Sonny Osborne (posthumous) will be inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame during the weekend of September 22-24 as part of the annual BANJO FEST weekend in Oklahoma City. Highlights include Hall of Fame inductions honoring Sonny Osborne, Don Vappie, Alan Munde, Randy Morris, and The Banjo Kings as well as our 2nd Annual Bricktown Banjo Bash featuring new Hall of Fame inductees Alan Munde, Don Vappie, and Randy Morris along with an incredible array of nationally known banjo artists as well as Oklahoma's finest banjo and stringed instrumentalists.

Informal performances, jam sessions and parties at the American Banjo Museum round out a memorable weekend of music, friendship and fun!

Features guided tours, children's programming, music and dance, health and wellness activities, as well as a concert by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. Many programs will be offered both in English and Spanish.

Once open, the newly-completed portion of Scissortail Park, which will nearly double the size of the Park to 70 acres, will feature two basketball courts, a soccer field, futsal court, and four pickleball courts, as well as a sports pavilion and small performance area. The Nature Play Area will provide shady spots for children and families to interact with natural materials like boulders, logs, and sand, providing endless opportunities for creative play. The sports courts will be available to the public for open play several hours each day.
