One Warm Coat
November 15, 2024 - December 20, 2024
8:00AM - 5:00PM
Trout Funeral Home & Crematory is hosting a coat drive to collect clean gently worn or new coats between November 15, 2024 and December 20, 2024 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. Area residents are invited to make a difference in our local community by donating to the coat drive and helping Trout Funeral Home & Crematory reach their goal of collecting 150 coats and 500 dollars.
“We are excited about our upcoming One Warm Coat drive and invite the community to participate and support our efforts. The need for shelter from the elements is especially urgent now as more than 37 million Americans are living at or below the poverty level and struggling to afford basic necessities. All of the coats we collect will be distributed in our community to help our neighbors stay safe and warm this winter,†said Coat Drive Organizer and local resident, Preston Childress
Last year, One Warm Coat’s volunteers collected more than 500,000 coats that were distributed to children and adults in need across the United States. “We’re grateful to volunteer Coat Drive Organizers like Trout Funeral Home & Crematory! It’s because of our incredible volunteers that so many coats are saved from landfills and given a second life providing warmth to people in need. Thanks to Trout Funeral Home & Crematory’s efforts, many people in this community will be warm this winterâ€, said Beth W. Amodio, President and CEO of One Warm Coat.
